The Vietnamese communities in the US and around the world support and proudly wave the flag yellow with 3 stripes flag because of its meaning, the blood of three united regions (north, central, south) of vietnam and the color of our skin, our people. Just as importantly is what this flag represent, Freedom! free from oppression and coercion! freedom to live, to talk, to gather, practice religion, freedom to criticize the government without worrying for ones life as was the case before april 30, 1975. Until the government of our beloved country of Vietnam progress to embrace all this, the Vietnamese communities around the world will continue to support and wave the flag with 3 stripes.
