Volunteers Promoting & Preserving Vietnamese Culture Through Vietnamese Lunar New Year Celebration In Seattle.
Tet In Seattle is a volunteer organization in its entirety, ranging from the members who make up the Organizing Committee to the performers on the days of the Festival. The organization exists only because of the efforts and contributions of many dedicated volunteers all year round. Please join us to help preserve the Vietnamese traditions in a fun, educational and enriching way.
Mission Statement
The mission of Tet In Seattle is to preserve and promote the Vietnamese culture and heritage and to enrich the cultural diversity in the greater Seattle area.
Goals and Objectives

|
To continue the traditions of having a communal festival for the greater Seattle community during Tet celebrations
|

|
To promote the Vietnamese customs and traditions to Seattle's diverse ethnic communities through Tet Nguyen Dan and other cultural activities throughout the year
|

|
To promote inter-generational relationships of Vietnamese-American through active participation in Tet Nguyen Dan and other cultural activities throughout the year
|
How to Volunteer for Tet in Seattle
Volunteer opportunities exist on all levels of the organization:
-- Organizing Committee
-- Coordinators and Managers
-- Performers
-- Event Days
These are only a few areas where volunteers can help. We are always in need of expertise in any area that volunteers wish to provide. We foster a fun, social environment in which volunteers come together. In organizing for the Festivals, volunteers make new friends, learn about the Vietnamese culture, and learn about themselves.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact My-Hong Truong at volunteer@tetinseattle.org.
