Executive Director:
Andrew T. Mô Nguyễn, MSEE
Andrew received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington
and his Masters from the University of Texas at Austin.
Andrew became involved with TIS in part because of his desire to promote the Vietnamese culture and tradition.
He served as TIS' administrator for the past several years
and has boldly stepped up to take over the executive director position
Administrative Committee Chair:
Mike Tôn,
AA
Mike graduated with an Associates degree in Computer Animation and Multi-Media
from the Art Institute of Dallas, and is a happily employed artist at
the only video game house built by Super Mario. Mike was six when his
family arrived in the US, twenty-two years ago. He joined TIS last year to
experience Vietnamese culture, and to understand the spirited generosity and
kindness that makes it remarkable.
Volunteer Coordinator:
Thao T. Nguyễn, BS
Thao received his degree in Biochemistry from the University of
Washington and is currently working for Dendreon Inc. His present
community involvement includes Union Gospel Mission Youth Outreach, Boy Scouts
Post 286, and the Vietnamese Young Adult Catholic Group. Thao has decided to
join TIS as the Volunteer Coordinator after a wonderful time serving as a
Volunteer at last year Tet Celebration. As Thao puts it, "..come and be a part
of it!"
New Progam Chairs:
Sinh Trần, BSME
Sinh received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Sinh is one of the founding members of Tet In Seattle and has been on the organizing committee
as Program Committee Chair since the conception of Tet In Seattle.
He is also one of the leaders of the Boys Scouts Post 286 of Boys Scouts of America.
Joseph Phong T. Trần, BA
Joseph received his degree in Finance from Central Washington University.
He's been a leader and an advisor of the Boy Scouts, Post 286 since 1999.
Joseph has actively participated in Tết in Seattle for the past few years through singing and performing dances.
Continuing Programs Co-Chairs:
Alex Thức Nguyễn, BSA
Alex received his degree in Architecture at Washington State University.
He has been a member of the Boy Scouts Post 286 since 1996 and presently is one
the assistance Scout Masters. He has worked with different organizations in the
community that has participated in TIS's Tết Festival programs. These
experiences inspired him to join the TIS with the hope of continuing to promote
and preserve the Vietnamese heritage in which we called "our second homeland".
Public Activities Committee Chair:
Trung Phạm, BSCE
Trung Pham received his degree in Civil Engineer from Seattle University. T
rung is one of the co-founders of Tet In Seattle and has played a key role in the
development of the organization since its conception. He was the Executive Director for TIS from 1998 to 2000.
In addition, he has been the Scout Master of the Boy Scouts, Post 286, since 1996.
Publication Committee Chair:
Quân Hà, BSEE
Quan received his EE and Econ undergrad degrees from the UW and is working
on his MSEE at Seattle U. He joined TIS through his wife's family ties with
TIS. He likes to work on the publication as a way to distract himself from
his hobby in technology.
Treasurer:
Marque Quốc Bùi, BA
Marque received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Washington.
He currently works for Vulcan and is a buddy of Paul Allen (so Marque claims :).
Marque was involved with TIS as a student during the development years.
For several years, he served as TIS' Finance Chair and continues to be a key
person in raising funds for TIS.

Public Relations Specialist:
Hiền Nguyễn, MA.Ed., MA. English
Hiền received her MA.Ed. from Seattle University in 1999 and her Masters in English in 2003
from the University of Washington. She is currently a teacher in the Auburn School District.
Hien joined TIS after many years of being an audience member.
She hopes to contribute her skills and ideas to the team in order to support efforts
in increasing cultural awareness in Seattle.
Marketing Committee Co-Chairs:
Nguyên Nguyễn, BSEE
Nguyên received his undergraduate degree from the University
of Washington, and is currently completing his MSEE
degree at California State University, Sacramento while
living in Seattle. Nguyên was a member of the VSA committee at UW, through
which he was involved with TIS. He was also involved with the Sacramento
Tết Festival. This is Nguyên's first year with TIS. He is looking
forward to building a long-term relationship with TIS
and to promote the Vietnamese culture and tradition in Seattle."
Hải Dương,
BS-to-be
Hải was 9 when his family moved to the United States of America.
Hải has been a proud and devoted member of the Boy Scouts, Post 286, for the past 9 years. He joined Tet in Seattle in the year
2004 and has been active ever since. Lately his newfound hobby is to travel; therefore he constantly seeks new challenges,
and a once in a lifetime opportunity so he can partake.
Exhibit Chair:
Tâm H. Lê, Pharm.D
Tâm joined Tết in Seattle organization since August of 2003 with a desire to be more involved with Vietnamese community.
For her, this is an excellent opportunity to organize activities for Vietnamese residing in
and re-establishing lives in a foreign country, specifically in Seattle,
and also to promote Vietnamese culture to other ethnic groups as well as to future generations of Vietnamese in America.
Tâm served as the Continuing Program Co-chair last year and changing direction and focusing on Exhibits this year.
Quy-Hợp, our previous Exhibit Chair will assist Tâm.
Webmaster:
Kiệt A. Lư, MD, MPH
Kiệt received his medical degree at Georgetown University and trained in Internal Medicine in Massachusetts.
He relocated to Seattle, where he completed training in Preventive Medicine and a Master of Public Health
at the University of Washington. Kiet has worked extensively with the community at both the local
and state level in Massachusetts and Washington. He currently conducts research at the University of Washington.
He served as Executive Director of TIS from 2000-2004. This is his first year as webmaster.
